Preschool Classes - 2's thru 4's
Our preschool is excited to be part of your child’s early years of growth and education and enjoys being a part of the FMS family. We strive to create an environment that is safe and nurturing, where students can explore, discover, and create while developing a love of learning. Each week our classes have new lessons and themes which will be covered in our creative curriculums. We cover language development, number and letter recognition. Fine and gross motor skills. Music and movement, colors and shapes through art. Developing friendships through work and play, plus a lot more. Our classrooms are growing together physically, academically, emotionally, and spiritually. We follow the VPK standards and use the VPK Getting Ready for Kindergarten Curriculum. All our classes provide enriched environments and programs to help our students prepare to move up to the next level.
Graders - Kindergarteners thru 8th Graders
Our Graders Program is dedicated to providing a quality education for our students and we are proud to be a part of the FMS community. Our teachers provide a balanced approach to learning that focuses on the physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development of each student. We strive to create an environment that is safe and nurturing, where students can explore, discover, and create while developing a love of learning. Our curriculum is designed to be developmentally appropriate and to meet the academic standards set by the state. We provide engaging activities and materials that are tailored to the needs of each grade level, helping to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed on their educational journeys.
Daycare
Our Daycare Program offers before and after school care for FMS students throughout the school months and an exciting summer program in which the "school" environment is replaced with a summer camp atmosphere. Our Daycare Program provides quality childcare and provides separate programs to meet the needs of both school-aged and preschool children. Our Aftercare Program is semi-structured to allow for your child's need for non-structured time following a school day of structured class time.
Morning Care 7:00am to 8:30am (All Students) Aftercare 12:00pm to 5:30pm (Preschoolers) Aftercare 2:30pm to 5:30pm (Graders)
Special Classes
Special Classes at FMS are attended throughout the week and are included in all Graders' curriculums. Our special classes include instruction in Character Education, Art, Spanish, Music, Computer, and Physical Education. Academic Teachers and Special Teachers collaborate together on cross-curriculum projects to help enhance learning. These classes are designed to engage students in a variety of activities that are both educational and fun. By combining academic and special classes, students are able to gain a wide range of skills and knowledge that will aid them in their future endeavors. Furthermore, our teachers and staff members work together to ensure that our students receive the best possible education.
